  2. If you tell a local that you study in Chula, they'll almost always go "Oooooh, you're so smart"
When in actuality, I just got accepted cos I'm bilingual lol

  3. Hi, kaja! I wish you could reply this. I really want to know if chula offers english language literature field of study? Does chula provide classes for international students to study thai language? It is difficult for international students to not speaking in thai as thais dont really speak english, right? Chula has always been my dream school and i really love Thailand for its exquisite culture. Studying there is one of the way to get to know with their culture.

  6. Hi Kaja, (English guy here), I can so relate to everything you have expressed in this blog. I too have a long history with Bangkok. Ive lived and worked there and have a Thai step mum. Although I'm now back in London I try to head back to Bangkok each year and aim to retire there when possible. I loved the way you explained your relationship with the city and I feel very much the same. When i lived there all manner of things sadly went wrong and there some tough times. Yet that has not diminished my fascination and love of the country, city and the people. As you said time helps and you recall mostly the good times. The city, the people and the country now have such a powerful affect on my its draws me back. I seem to have something in me that drives me to try to fathom and understand the place. I want to make sense of the confusion and madness i experienced there. But anyone who truly 'gets' Thailand knows that us foreigners never really reach that total enlightenment of absolutely understanding the people and the country. Just when you feel you are getting somewhere with language and culture you realise you know nothing. It's the perpetual itch, the force that urges you to keep trying to understand everything but you never quite do. Its so funny when i watch your blogs you really remind me of the very same emotion and excitement that i also felt each day there when i worked. I feel what you did and your blogs make me smile and homesick for Bangkok. I completely relate to how you feel in your fab blogs. This video where you head back is beautiful and the happiness and nostalgia you show is wonderful and an indication of how special your time was there. I feel exactly the same. If you head to London get in contact and it would be fun to hit a Thai restaurant here and share stories. Philip

I went back to Thailand even with the kids and now all the family loves it. Thanks Thai Students from Chula for being so welcoming and you can be very proud about your university.

  9. Hi Kaja! I'm interested to exchange into faculty of psychology – CU and I'm wondering about the monthly expenses as an exchange student. Excluding room renting fees, could you survive with 10.000 baht a month (to eat, printing assignment, transportation, and other basic necessities)? or if 10.000 isn't enough, how much do you think would suffice to live a decent life as an exchange student in CU? I hope you replied to this, thank you so much 🤗

  10. This video has made me really want to visit Chulalongkorn University! It seems so great there! I'm experiencing my 'online' university in the UK and I'll graduate next year. I even think Bangkok is one good choice for me to start my next stage of life now.
